On May 30, 2014 UWindsor cohort (Education students) travel to China for Reciprocal Learning Program. Dr. Yibing Liu, Dean of Faculty of Teacher Education, delivered a workshop regarding pre-service teacher preparation education to Reciprocal Learning Program participants.
In May 2014, UWindsor 2014 education students visited Southwest University (SWU) and delivered presentations of various Canadian cultural topics to SWU students, including bullying on campus, teaching strategies and Lancer team. For example, David taught the SWU teacher candidates to experience hockey with hockey sticks in classroom. Kevin also introduced the games rules of curling through encouraging SWU buddies to experience “curling” in simulated field.
In May, UWindsor 2014 cohort (Education students) guided by Dr. Shijing Xu (The Reciprocal Learning Program Coordinator) and Dr. Anthony Ezeife visited Southwest University in Chongqing. During their visit in China, Faculty of Teacher Education at SWU coordinated faculty members to offer various Chinese culture workshops to Reciprocal Learning Program participants, including Chinese Martial Arts given by Professor Ming Deng, Chinese painting taught by Professor Xiaojun Bi, and Chinese Calligraphy given by Professor Guanshan Qi.
In June, UWindsor 2014 cohort (Education students) guided by Dr. Anthony Ezeife took a fieldtrip to Beijing. During their visit in China, they experienced Chinese culture by visiting the Great Wall, Monument to the People Heroes, Tiananmen Square, and Temple of Heaven. They also visited Beijing Olympic Sports Center, and took photos with Fuwa (Beijing Olympic Mascot).

In June, UWindsor teacher candidates experienced Chinese culture by taking a field trip to downtown Chongqing. Accompanied by Southwest University students, they enjoyed the street views in the city and appreciated local architecture.
2014年6 月, 温莎大学交换生参观重庆山城。在西南大学师范生陪同下，温莎大学交换生领略了城市风光，欣赏了众多当地建筑，并从中探索中国文化。
In May, UWindsor 2014 cohort (Education students) guided by Dr. Shijing Xu (The Reciprocal Learning Program Coordinator) and Dr. Anthony Ezeife visited Chongqing No. 29 High School. Dr. Shijing Xu on behalf of Reciprocal Learning Program and Faculty of Education of University of Windsor delivered a speech on the welcome meeting to appreciate the support received from the local school. For example, Kevin and David introduced Canadian culture in the following workshop and interacted with the high school students at presence.
In May, UWindsor 2014 cohort (education students) guided by Dr. Shijing Xu (Reciprocal Learning Program Coordinator) visited Ren He Jie Primary School in Chongqing. A brief introduction of the development of the primary school and a school tour was given to them at first. They then observed a Physical Education class, and from the observation, they learned how Chinese teacher integrated fun into teaching. They also attended the opening ceremony of sports meeting, and enjoyed dragon dance performed by Chinese primary students.
On May 11, 2014 UWindsor education students guided by Dr. Anthony visited the Primary School Attached to Southwest University in Chongqing. They attended classes, including Chinese, physical education and hand craft subjects and interacted actively with the primary students.
In May, UWindsor 2014 education students guided by Dr. Shijing Xu (Reciprocal Learning Program Coordinator) visited Zeng Jia Yan Primary School in Chongqing. During the visit, they walked around the playground of primary school, participated in outdoor activities with the primary students, experienced Chinese calligraphy writing, and observed classes. They also practiced singing in chorus, and enjoyed visiting student art and craft exhibition.
