2017西南大学交换生欢送会
Farewell Party for 2017 SWU Exchange Students
2017年12月20日晚4：30-6：30，中加互惠学习项目组和温莎大学教育学院学生会在Canterbury College 二楼会议厅为参加2017届中加互惠学习项目的西南大学交换生们举办了欢送会。
On December 20th, 2017 from 4:30 pmto 6:30 pm, the Reciprocal Learning Programand the Education Society at the University of Windsor (UW) jointly hosted the Farewell Party for Southwest University (SWU) exchange students on Canterbury College 2ndfloor.
项目组成员为欢送会准备了丰盛的食物和饮料台，研究助手们也都带来了自制的中加美食。
The program members prepared a rich food and beverage table for the party, and the RAs brought home-made Chinese and Canadian food.
中加互惠学习项目组负责人温莎大学许教授致欢迎辞。
The Reciprocal Learning Program Coordinator Dr. Shijing Xu gave a welcome speech.

西南大学邓老师携22名交换生依次上台汇报总结这三个月的跨文化学习和生活。交换生们以一分钟演讲的方式讲述了在温莎的学习和生活，收获和感悟，并向温莎的老师们、同学们及寄宿家庭表达了感谢之情和圣诞的节日祝福。
Mr. Deng from the SWU,with the 22 exchange students, reported the three-month cross-cultural study and life. The exchange students presented their study and life, gains and perceptions, and expressed their gratitude and Christmas greetings to teachers, students and homestay families in Windsor.
交换生们在温莎度过了温暖的三个月。吕嘉晨同学首先感谢了许教授一直以来的帮助，照顾与支持，并且特别感谢了温莎大学老师们，老师们会特意放慢讲话语速以便交换生们适应英语语言环境。
The SWU exchange students spent three warm and happy months in Windsor. Jiachen Lyu, first thanked Dr. Xu for her help, care and support, then especially thanked the thoughtfulness of the teachers at the UW. The teachers deliberately slowed down their speaking speed to help exchange students to adoptEnglish language environment.
交换生们在温莎公立学校实习期间学到了许多新的教育理念。例如，孙越同学在实习时看到Mr. Wear老师深受学生们的欢迎，让她体会到了作为老师的职业幸福感，并且希望自己以后也可以成为一位深受学生喜爱的心理老师。
The SWU exchange students learned a lot of new educational ideas during their internship at public schoolin Windsor. For example, When Yue Sun was taking the internship, she saw that Mr. Wear was very popular among the students, which made her feel the professional happiness as a teacher, and hoped that she could also become a popular mental teacher in the future.
交换生们体会与感受了加拿大的当地文化。陈青云同学讲述在这三个月的时间里，虽然感受到了许多中加文化的相似之处，但感恩节、万圣节等西方特色节日也让她发现了加拿大文化的独特之处。
The SWU exchange students experienced and felt the local culture of Canada. During her three months' experience, although Qingyun Chen found many similarities between Chinese and Canadian culture, the western festivals such as Thanksgiving and Halloween also made her discover the uniqueness of Canadian culture.
李其阳同学以短片的形式，向大家展示了交换生们这三个月以来在温莎的活动照片和视频。在短片的最后，邓老师携全体交换生们盛情邀请温莎大学的师生们到西南大学做客与访问。
In the form of short films, Qiyang Li showed the photos and videos of SWU exchange students in the past three months in Windsor. At the end of the short film, Mr. Deng, with all the exchange students, invited the teachers and students at the UW to visit the SWU.
许教授鼓励大家再一次发出邀请，学生们热情洋溢的声音让欢送会充满了温情与暖意。
Dr. Xu encouraged everyone to make an invitation again, and the exuberant sound of the students made the party full of warmth.
温莎大学教育学院院长Dr. Ken Montgomery致辞
The Dean of Education Faculty at the University of Windsor Dr. Ken Montgomery gave a speech.
温莎大学Dr. Bruce Tucker祝愿西南大学的邓老师和交换生们一路平安，并表达了对大家的不舍之情。
Dr. Bruce Tucker wished the SWU Mr. Deng and the exchange students have a safe journeyand expressed his miss to everyone.
Mr. Ryan Essery表示，温莎大学的老师们和同学们也从交换生们身上学到了很多中国的教学经验。
Mr. Ryan Essery said, the teachers and students at the University of Windsoralso learned a lot of Chinese teaching experience from the exchange students.
许教授邀请寄宿家庭一家人上台，并向他们表示了衷心的感谢。寄宿家庭给交换生们提供了许多帮助，并在彼此间建立起了深厚的感情。
Dr. Xu invited the homestay families to come to the stage and expressed her sincere thanks to them. The homestay families provided a lot of help to the exchange students and established deep friendship among each other.
最让交换生们惊喜的是，Michael Doyon (马徳龙) 扮作圣诞老人忽然登场，为同学们派发礼物。教育学院院长Dr. Ken Montgomery和许教授为大家颁发项目学习证书，并且在圣诞树下合照留念。
What made the exchange students surprised was that, Michael Doyon who was acted as Santa Claus suddenly emerged and gave gifts to the students. Dr. Montgomery and Dr. Xu issued a project study certificate for everyone and took photos under the Christmas tree.
交换生们迫不及待地拆开礼物，合照留念。
The SWU exchange students could not wait to open their gifts and took a picture with each other.
派发礼物后，大家分享美食，交谈甚欢。
After receiving gifts, everyone shared food and talked with each other very well.
在欢送会的最后，大家合照留念。时光飞逝，转眼间就到了分别的时刻。回想这三个月来的美好时刻，不免有些感伤。但正如于悦同学提到的，这次分别不是结束，而是他们教师生涯的新的开始。祝愿他们学习顺利、生活愉快，在新的起点以新的姿态取得好成绩，早日实现自己的人生理想！
At the end of the farewell party, everyone took a picture together. Time flies. It is a little sentimental to recall the good moments of the three months. Just as Yue Yu mentioned, this time was not the end, but the new beginning of their teachers’ career. Wish them a smooth study, a happy life, a new starting point to achieve good results, and dream come true as soon as possible.
